2017 RDMA Breakdown: Best Female Artist
The Radio Disney Music Award (RDMA) nominees are finally out and it is time to predict which stars will walk home a winner! This week’s category we will be investigating is She’s the One: Best Female Artist. This is a huge award for women and this year it is between Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, and Meghan Trainor, all of which are super talented women. So here is the breakdown:
While she may be petite, her impact is large! Ariana can do it all. She has performed on Broadway, landed a major role in the Nickelodeon series Victorious, and is currently on her Dangerous Woman tour performing all of her many hits.
This rock star doesn’t just sing and dance when preforming…but she puts a show on! This is apparent in her 2017 Super Bowl halftime show when she appears to jump off the stadium roof! It was a big year for Gaga, but is it big enough to win Best Female Artist?
This talented singer/songwriter produces hit after hit after hit. Some of her most popular songs include Roar, Dark Horse, Teenage Dream, Firework, Wide Awake. Katy Perry has received countless awards in the past. Do you think she will be adding this award to her collection?
This superstar seems to have the entire package. She is smiley, caring, giving, and above all, a brilliant singer! To no surprise, Selena released yet another banger song called It Ain’t Me. The song is so amazing it may give her an even greater advantage in claiming RDMA’s Best Female Artist!
Not only does this artist wow everybody with her outstanding voice, but she writes, produces, records, and raps! Her music has been widely recognized, winning three ASCAP Pop Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, a People's Choice Award, and yes...she even received a Grammy in 2016 for Best New Artist. Do these accomplishments outweigh her competitors?
Between all of these talented ladies, it’s going to be extremely difficult to choose a winner! Who do you think is the most deserving of this award? It’s time to cast your vote! Don’t forget to tune in on April 29 to see who wins!
